How do I know if I need Grief Counseling?
Losing a loved one can bring up complicated and distressing emotions especially if you lose your loved one in a traumatic way. Individuals who experience grief may find that they are at a loss on how to navigate their grief or may not have the appropriate support in their life. First, there is no right way or wrong way to grieve. However, individuals may find grief therapy helpful if they are having difficulty managing complicated emotions such as:

My approach:
I believe to heal and thrive, one needs to feel safe, seen, and heard. I offer all three at Revision Trauma Therapy. I know I cannot change everything back the way it was, I wish I could. However, I will sit here with you as you navigate painful and distressing emotions with no judgement, no platitudes, no agenda. Having experienced grief myself, it has driven me to gain training in grief therapy, specifically in traumatic grief. I am trained and utilize compassionate bereavement care therapy. This means in session we will help you build and foster self-compassion and resilience as you navigate grief and life. Whether you need evening or Saturday mornings, we will work together to help you navigate, heal, and rebuild.
